Back To School Memories

schick razors schick razors

Remember my post about reminiscing on moving in to my college dorm? I have a few family friends being sent off to college right now, and I’ve been giving them all the advice I can! There is nothing worse than being under-prepared for the unknown, especially when you’re experiencing something completely new like college!

Packing to move into the dorms was the worst. I had no idea what to bring – what will people be wearing? What are community showers like? Ah! My biggest tip would be to keep a shower bag packed and ready to go at all times with everything you need for the bathroom – shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, shaving cream/Schick disposable razors. It makes life a whole lot easier!

All these back to school pictures are reminding me of when I first went to college! Those were the days…so much freedom, so little responsibilities. College is a time of change and the start of so many new beginnings. I remembered being so nervous about meeting people (boys) and going to classes….I had no idea what to expect! We all want to feel good, clean and confident as we enter new stages and Schick helps with just that. My favorite disposable razors are the Schick® Quattro For Women®. They’re so affordable – perfect for the college budget, and don’t leave you second guessing if you got rid of all that stubble before 9am class!

What to Wear to Coachella: Festival Fashion

festival fashion outfits

It’s April, which means music festivals!! From Coachella and Ultra to Country Thunder and iHeart Radio, April is a busy (and loud) month. I’m not making it to Coachella (or “‘Chella” as the coole people call it nowadays) this year, but I am going to attend one day at Country Thunder and I’m so excited! I’m not the big crowd type, so I’m lucky that the festival is only about an hour away from me and I can just drive up and back to watch my favorite artists. (more…)

Customized Diamonds

anniversary ring

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right? They certainly are mine…and I’ve discovered a diamond company that will let you customize your bling! Anjolee is a high-end manufacturer of great quality diamond jewelry that is completely customizable online – whether it’s for the red carpet or an engagement or anniversary ring, you can make it your own. Finally upscale jewelry made easy. No more going into a store to pick out what you want and customize it, only to wait a few weeks to months to get it made for you. Anjolee is purely online and so simple.

My personal favorite is their diamond bolero tie necklace. Lariat-style necklaces are so big right now and perfect for layering with other necklaces. I love layering a lariat with a short dainty pendant and another longer necklace. This tie necklace from Anjolee is a more upscale version of a lariat that you can easily wear with jeans and a blouse for a casual dinner, or a cocktail dress for a special occasion.

Product Review: Butter London Nail Lacquer

butter london nail polish

I got a chance to try out one of the biggest names in nail polish right now-Butter London. You’ve probably seen them everywhere-especially all over Instagram. I like a natural look on my nails, so this color is perfect for that. It’s pretty sheer, so it’s nice to be able to choose whether you want a sheer tint or an opaque color with some more coats-this look is three coats. (more…)

Here’s my Easter outfit for 2014! Pastels are a must on Easter Sunday…even if you feel like you can’t pull them off, wear the pastel color on the bottom with a neutral top in a color that you can pull off.  This way, the pastel isn’t against your face. It’s just not Easter without pastels! I know Mondays are the worst, especially after Easter, so here’s to keeping your spirits up for the week!

Blush Crush

spring fashion trends
Blush pink is a huge color this season! It’s so neutral and can be worn with virtually any color. I wear it to make an undone, not-so-feminine outfit look sophisticated and more refined. It’s great with distressed jeans and really casual fabrics for this very reason. When we see blush pink, our minds automatically jump to a little girl’s dress or Sunday brunch. It is a soft feminine color, but can be worn in an edgy way with leather or studs to offset how girly the color is. Leather leggings with a blush pink blazer, a blush pink dress with a studded necklace…the possibilities are endless!
