If you ask anyone who knows me what my favorite season to dress for is, it’s winter! It doesn’t matter if it’s casual wear, cocktail, or even pajamas – winter is my absolute fave. For casual daytime wear I love layering with sweaters, scarves, boots and jackets. I also love dressing up using clean lines of classic winter silhouettes like culottes and A-line dresses. But I think my favorite part about winter clothes is cozying up next to the fire in comfy flannel pj’s. (more…)

Throwback Thursday: My Favorite Looks for My Blogiversary

October is my blogiversary!! I started my blog in 2010, and I’ve done a loootttt of outfits over the years. Some that I were super proud of, and some…uhhhhh…not so much. As I look back, it’s clear that 2014 was my biggest year on my blog…from the growth of my following to the development of my personal style. So in tribute to my best blog year, I decided to put together some of my favorite looks from 2014! (Stay tuned with my fave 2015 looks). Here are 14 of my favorite looks from 2014 (from oldest to newest):

Moments of Chic

piperlime clothing

Happy hump day!! My first outfit post of 2015 (sorry for taking so long…I will be more diligent I swear!!) is all thanks to Piperlime. I’m obsessed with these jeans because you know I love my grunge and they just break up the usual dark denim routine.

holiday christmas gift ideas

So…if you’re anything like me, you hate shopping during the holidays. Don’t get me wrong…I love seeing the Christmas decor and smelling the yummy Christmas scents in the mall. But to think that I will actually get something accomplished at the mall during this season is delusional. So I take all my holiday gift shopping online…here are my top 7 gifts this season!

November Must-Haves

Can you tell that I don’t wear much color in the winter?  I like to keep it edgy and casual…kinda like a sleek casual chic look, but with a ton of leather. I put together a list of my absolute must-haves for this upcoming winter season!

White & Cozy

This look is simple, sleek, and casual chic! It’s still freezing in most parts of the world right now, but for those lucky ones (like me!) that get to live in hotter climates, we are warming up! So I went all over the board with this one, and wore a summery skirt with a big wintery sweater. I love mixing textures and styles, because it’s unexpected and catches the eye. Mixing this geometric skirt with a big oversized sweater is edgy yet comfy casual, and I added some chic with these nude pumps and chevron necklace.Steal My Style:
Sweater: Nordstrom $38
Skirt: Target $34
Shoes: Schutz $150
Necklace: H&M (similar from Max & Chloe here for $40)

Keeping Warm and Cozy with Old Navy

classic fashion winter outfit
I got this entire outfit (with exception of the shoes) from Old Navy for $60! It’s tough to look put-together while trying to stay warm, but there is a way to do it! Chunky sweaters like this one are extra warm, and a feminine wool pea coat like this adds the right touch to dress it up. I mixed the style up with the cargo skinnies, and finished it off with clean, simple pumps.Steal My Style:
Sweater: Old Navy $20
Pants: Old Navy $20
Jacket: Old Navy $20
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini $100 (similar)

Winter Green

classic winter fashion trend
I’m getting all my winter outfits out of my system as winter is super short in Arizona! Jewel tones are big this winter so I incorporated both emerald green and navy into this winter outfit. We all know that I love mixing different textures and prints together, so here I mixed tweed and plaid-both winter patterns!Steal My Style:
Pants: JC Penney $34
Cape: H&M (unavailable but here is the inspiration for it)
Shoes: Halogen $99
Gloves: Target $11

Neon Pink

winter fashion trends
I love neons for winter! They make an edgy outfit look girly, and give your outfit the ‘pop’ that it needs. I paired this girly shade with leather because 1) duh! and b) I wanted to make such a girly color look sexier and edgier. I brought it all together with classic pumps, a classic bag, and a simple necklace to make sure I didn’t go dramatically overboard.Steal My Style: (all exclusively from Kohl’s!)
Sweater: Kohl’s $50 (pretty inexpensive for cashmere!)
Pants: Kohl’s $38
Heels: Kohl’s $52
Bag: Target (unavailable, but similar @ Kohl’s here)
